Project intro — Desafie-me app overview. Two phone mockups: left shows the Challenge dashboard with user profile and active and pending challenger lists; right shows the Facebook login and onboarding screen. Disciplines: UI/UX, Illustration, Motion, Logo. App Store and Google Play badges shown.

Problem

Desafie-me needed a redesign to improve how students prepared for major academic exams in Brazil. The new version also needed to add support for the OAB exam, expanding beyond the existing ENEM focus, while giving more visibility to the universities in SER Educational Group.

Solution

I redesigned the app to deliver a better educational gaming experience. The new version added a dedicated section for OAB exam preparation while keeping the competitive and social mechanics that encouraged students to challenge friends and learn through gameplay.

The app used quizzes, rankings, and social challenges to make studying more engaging. The redesign also brought SER Educational Group universities into the platform through branded content and relevant educational material.

Results

Desafie-me helped tens of thousands of Brazilian students prepare for ENEM and OAB through a game-based format. The app surpassed 100,000 downloads on the Google Play Store and reached more than 80,000 active accounts. Users created over 270,000 study challenges, showing the app was used consistently over time.

The app was also featured by major Brazilian media and education portals, including Exame and Educa Mais Brasil, as well as several regional news outlets and education blogs.
